Hi! I’m Jessica!!
I have been photographing all of life’s most cherished moments professionally since 2009, however I’ve been in love with photography and printed photos since I was old enough to hold a camera and photograph. I love a soft, dreamy, filmy vibe to my photos. A Nikon girly with various lens. My favorite things to photograph are love, any emotion and movement.
I’ve been trained on studio lighting, posing newborns safely, as well as taken multiple posing and editing classes throughout my career. I strive to learn new things every single day as well as look at my work critically-this is has been the keystone to my growth as a photographer, artist and good human. I’m a perfectionist and obsess over color and ensuring it’s accurately represented but with elements of dreaminess and compliments to the subjects and what works best for them and the session vibe. All that to say, I edit custom for you/your family/the tones and colors that work best for you, I’m kinda a color theory nerd. My style changes with each season, especially due to living in Kentucky where the greens are different each season, we have such an abundance of natural elements here. I want images to be true to life in color and every other way…just dreamier! I love to play with color in sessions and make things as vibrant as possible.
Another element of my photography love is my studio space. I love creating sets with floral especially, but many elements as well. However, I like to keep things pretty minimalistic as well so that the subject is what shines brightest.
My absolute favorites to photograph are my boys!!! I’m mama to my two loves, Max and Alexander as well mama to 6 fur babies! When I asked several friends and family to describe me the words that came up most were spiritual, quirky, loving, warm, funny and unique. Unique being my favorite because that’s cancers dream compliment!!! Everything I do I strive to be authentic to myself and the artistry that comes naturally to me. I translate this for clients by doing what’s best for them during sessions, what most authentically showcases who they are and how they want to be seen.

Every part of my job feels like a blessing because I ge.t to do what I love. Sometimes in the day to day of being a mom, I think about all these memories that we make and how important it is for someone outside of your family to capture these memories. That little scrunched up nose he makes when you kiss him at age 7, the Eskimo kisses he’ll only ask for a few more years, how she sticks her tongue out when she smiles….this week, how when he meets someone new all he wants to do is snuggle up in mama’s neck, how determined and focus your senior is…..or whatever it maybe to that unique human…..THESE….these and so many more are the moments I as a parent want to remember, and we can’t capture those of ourselves and if we are capturing them of our own kids….are they heirloom professional quality images we can cherish forever?!? This is my life purpose with my artistic gifts, to capture these moments for other people in a way that you will be able to cherish for more than lifetime and for generations to remember. When it comes to other sessions I like to capture moments that may usually go unnoticed, those little moments that show big love and everything in between. I overshoot terribly to achieve this!! During sessions, I like to not only pose but create moments of play, fun and movement to capture the true essence of whoever is in front of my camera.

I strive to constantly improve my business not only for my clients but for myself and that standards I’ve set. I’ve loved photos and photography since I was a young child. I remember sitting for hours going through family photos with my family and asking all kinds of questions to get the stories behind the photos. Remember, how we used to value the printed photo?
