Senior sessions with Shutter & Bloom are not your basic senior portraits. Jessica strives to make every image feel dreamy, cinematic, emotive and authentic to you. This time of your life is transformative, the memories made will be cherished for a lifetime, and who you are now will be treasured forever. For parents and for seniors alike. As parents, we are seeing our baby bundle of joy who has blossomed into the incredible human they are now. As a parent to children who won’t stop growing, I can imagine that feeling is overwhelmingly beautiful and emotional. I’ve chatted with dozens of parents about their seniors and tears often come because of how proud they are, and maybe also because of how much they’ll miss them while they’re on their young adult journey. That moment is bittersweet and while we want to let them fly, we’ll miss the intimacy of sharing a home and the day-to-day stuff!
This moment will be gone in the blink of an eye, just like every other growth in childhood has been. For senior photos, I balance those images and vibes the senior wants with the timeless images your parents and grandparents will treasure. They’ll love the other ones too even if not their vibe, they will appreciate how the photos showcase who YOU ARE and how bright you shine. <3

Jessica of Shutter & Bloom has been capturing the seniors of Kentucky among other states for over 12 years (will travel!).
